A rare and unusual English walnut bureau from the Queen Anne period, circa 1710. Standing on carved claw feet with book matched veneers and engraved brass handles. Inside is a stepped interior with a well, the fall rests on two lopers to act as a writing surface. Complete with an original invoice and ivorine label, purchased in 1923 by S&H Jewell for £40.00.
