A rare and unusual Spanish strong box / treasure chest, made in solid padouk. Excellent colour and patination, decorated with ornate fretted brass straps, carrying handles and corner brackets. A later hasp on the lock that is in keeping with the brass. A good clean interior. Very decorative antique and a real statement piece in a hall or main room.
