A rare French portfolio stand for in a gallery or artists studio. Made in Plain wood and in good undamaged condition with a nice colour and patination. The stand is either tied together closed or opens out for displaying artwork in. Often used in print shops, galleries and private libraries. Easy to manoeuvre on quality brass castors around the room. Well made with shaped ends and constructed with through tenons for extra strength. Circa 1890.
