This is a pair of 19th-century Cantonese vases decorated in a traditional Famille rose palette. The vases feature intricate hand-painted designs depicting courtly scenes with figures set amidst architectural and garden backgrounds. These scenes are framed with elaborate floral patterns and gilt accents, which are characteristic of Cantonese porcelain from the Qing dynasty era.

The vibrant colours, including pinks, greens, blues, and gold, along with detailed depictions of figures and birds, reflect the exquisite craftsmanship typical of the period. These vases would have been produced for export, showcasing the refinement of Chinese decorative arts for a Western audience.

Good condition, with some slight wear to gilt areas. They would make good lamps.
