A beautiful small French mahogany secretaire bookcase from the first part of the 19th century. Embellished with cluster columns on the top and bottom, along with classical ormolu brass mounts. The glazed top section opens to reveal a beautiful polished maple interior with drawers and shelves along with inlays on the fronts. The central draw opens to reveal a fitted interior with a writing slope, including inkwells and pen trays. Below is a single shelf. On top of the piece is a polish surface for display objects on if required. A very good example of its kind with lots of quality features. Circa 1840.
